Try these 6 tips for proper breast feeding.....

- Watch for the baby's early feeding cues to feed - before crying.

- use correct positioning and different breast feeding positions.

- Make sure it is a correct latch so you won't get damaged/bruised/blisters nipples.

- Ask for help early from a certified lactation consultant if you don't think the feeding or positioning is correct or for any other problems that can occur.

- Burp the baby well after each breast.

- For the first 4 weeks try to only breast feed without using a bottle or pacifier which may cause nipple confusion.

Breastfeeding outcomes can improve with the proper position used.
A painful or difficult latch can be corrected by having a deeper latch which is all in the proper position used.
